The pupilas up in this spot keep me alive. It taste so good. They make it fresh and the service is exceptional. I tried to order their other foods and plates. But i think I'll keep it to just pupusas. It's simply amazing. The cheese and chicken ones are my fave. But please try the others. I'm a little picky at times and stick to what I like but these pupusas are littttt. And the people are actually from the place the dish comes from which is always the best. The less gentrifying the better it tastes.

Ive had pupusas in LA, Miami, and even the homeland El Salvador - these are as good as they come. This is the 'plato typico,' extremely delicious. I also got a side of yuca and some horchata. I cant say enough good things about this place. Great food!

I was skeptical to go here because my husband and I don't speak spanish, but when we gained enough courage, we were so happy we finally tried it! Our first time I had the chicken stew, which was a breast and leg in a tomato based sauce, with mashed red beans and rice. Although not my idea of a stew, It was delicious. My husband had the el salvadorian platter which he enjoyed but the meat was a little dry. We have been back a few times, as it is across from our apartment, and enjoy it every time. The pork and cheese pupusa is delicious!!! I took my fathers girlfriend here and we tried the tamales. Holy cow. Sweet corn tamales was like a dessert it was so tasty!!! Today when we went my sister had the chicken quesadilla, which was creamy and delicious. I got an array of things for my mom and sister to try (since it was their first visit) and they loved it all. They have a new menu, I think they finally upped their prices, which is well deserved... They even have an english menu now. This last visit we ordered -2 pork and cheese pupusas -1 chicken quesadilla -1 guacomole w/chips -1 shredded chicken dinner -2 side salads -1 beef taco -1 chicken enchalada -1 sweet plantain dessert -1 diet coke -1 coffee The bill came to $42.11 Cash only!

Full Disclosure: I've known the owner for years, but this review is truly an unbiased opinion. Good tasting food and cleanliness is very important in the food service industry. I've taken a tour of their kitchen before, and I can conclude that everything is in tip-top shape. The chef has been there for many many years and can do wonders with her food ingredients. If you truly want to taste Home-Made Salvadoran food (like Mama's secret recipe good), I suggest you stop by Las Brisas De El Salvador and give it a try. I've came here at least a dozen times and I'm still in love with their food! Also, the place has a super cute interior of sceneries from El Salvador. 1) Milk Shakes: I think I've tried almost all of their flavors and Honeydew, Cantaloupe, and Papaya shakes are personally my favorites. 2) My dad and I love their beef soup and my mom prefers their chicken noodle soup. 3) My mom LOVES their pupusas. FYI: I swore they had an english-verison menu a couple of years ago, but now it's all in spanish. However, they knew exactly what I wanted when I came here to order take-out. I would order new things, but unfortunately my 3 years of high school spanish did not do the menu any justice. I really missed the waitress that used to work there about 2 years ago, she was super awesome! Oh yea, it's CASH ONLY and there's a HUGE parking lot in the back!

I went after lunchtime on a weekday. There was only me and another customer. Hempstead isn't a place I think of for good food but this restaurant was quite a surprise. The interior and general area seems questionable but the food makes up for it. The service was great (but remember I was one of two customers, so expected). The Salvadoran Tray was amazing. It doesn't look overly appetizing but the flavor was fantastic. I could tell it was cooked with care, even though it included many different parts that needed preparation. I do remember that the dish seemed to take a little longer than expected.
